Our President, Steve, is an Iowa native. Now living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he graduated from South Dakota State University and has 20+ years of experience writing software and managing projects for a local aerospace company. He has also volunteered at an area high school teaching a web development class and maintaining the school's website.

Our Vice President, Pat, is a licensed teacher. She too is an Iowa native having lived most of her life in Dubuque. Graduating from Clarke College in Dubuque, she has 20+ years experience teaching in Dubuque and Cedar Rapids. Her real world experience in the teaching profession allows a greater understanding of the products needed by schools and how they will be used by the staff and the parents.

The idea for our first product, PT Connect, originated in 2005 when Steve was volunteering at the high school. They were struggling with paper sign-up sheets as parents were erasing names and substituting their own for the most desirable time slots. Recognizing the inefficiency, the principal asked whether an online alternative could be developed. Steve accepted the challenge and created an initial version of the platform. Though basic by today's standards, this first release immediately resolved key scheduling conflicts and brought significant operational relief to the school.

With ongoing enhancements each semester, the program soon expanded to other buildings in the district. By 2007, word of its success had spread to other districts, prompting the formal establishment of SchoolSystems, LLC. We continue to welcome suggestions from our users today; the feature-rich design of PT Connect is a direct result of that feedback, and it is still improving.

As Pat and Steve built relationships with school administrators, new product ideas consistently emerged. For instance, an early school-registration tool evolved into the Faith Formation Registration system. The demand for efficient scheduling of Instructional Intervention sessions led to the creation of that dedicated product. Other beneficial programs, such as Student ID assignments, Room Reservations, and Purchase Order/Check Requests were also developed based on specific requests from schools, ultimately benefiting our entire customer base.

We remain committed to partnering closely with educational institutions to address their evolving administrative requirements and to delivering innovative, practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
