Our HistoryConference Calendar was developed by a parent-volunteer teaching a web development class at an area high school. At the request of the administration, a web-based program was conceived to eliminate the paper forms and the problems associated with parents having to come to school to schedule conferences. The first version, while not feature rich, simplified the conference sign-up process and increased parent participation in conferences greatly. Word spread quickly through the Cedar Rapids, Iowa Metro area and soon many schools were using newer versions of Conference Calendar - thus SchoolSystems, LLC was formed with a mission to provide affordable products to schools to help organize the school offices; making the jobs of the administrators, teachers, and parents easier.
Our Executives
Our President is an Iowa native. Now living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he is originally from Sioux City. He graduated from South Dakota State University and has 20+ years of experience writing software and managing projects for a local aerospace company. He also volunteers at an area high school teaching a web development class while helping the students maintain the school's website.
Our Vice President is also a licensed elementary teacher. She too is an Iowa native having lived most of her life in Dubuque, Iowa. Graduating from Clarke College in Dubuque, she has 20+ years experience teaching in Dubuque and Cedar Rapids. Her real world experience in the teaching profession allows a greater understanding of the products needed by schools and how they will be used by the staff and the parents.
